Sending Smiles

When blooms on the Alaskan Fireweed have reached the top, the "Sourdough's" say it's six weeks until snowfall.  (Sourdough's are those who have "soured" on Alaska, but don't have the "dough" to get out.) Those of us who have lived here for a long time usually aren't real fond of the first snow fall as it's a reminder of many wintery months ahead!  So looking on the bright side, I colored up this beautiful image from the Fireweed Collection from Stamp Attic Alaska.

Online Card Classes are working with a lovely set by Clearly Besotted.  This Fireweed stamp is one from my stash that worked perfectly for different techniques that were featured.

The tag is a Lawn Fawn die cut stamped and colored with Copic's.  For the card I chose Tim Holtz watercolor paper, some Grumbacher water color paint tubes and finished it with Copic markers and from Lawn Fawn, the wonderful sentiment from the Wish You Were Here, Too, "Sending Smiles."
